Hi all:

I’d like to recognize the tragedy we all witnessed last week in Lewiston/Auburn. Some of us were more deeply impacted than others, but I think we were all touched in some way and it was shocking to our psyches. I wish our politicians (in Maine and on the Federal level) would pass serious and real gun control legislation –  I believe that change happens through policy and we need leaders who will enact policy that protects us. Use your voice and your power in the voting booth to elect politicians whose ideals reflect your own and who have the courage to speak out and catalyze change

Also, if you can find the time and space to care for yourself, do that. Escape to the woods for a beautiful woods walk, sink into a bath with an engaging book, hop on your bike and move your strong legs, sweat a little, drink in the fall air, enjoy the reds, yellows, and oranges of the changing leaves, run hard, stretch your body while loving up Yoga with Adriene  –  find a way to connect your heart with your body and the natural world – this is something you’ll never be sorry for.
