Harpswell Cliff Walk
Blog February 14, 2016Driving up to meet my fellow adventurers today, I was filled with something I can only describe as a bubbling in my heart. It was both excitement and anticipation. I was visiting a new and hopefully beautiful place and the day’s weather could not have been lovelier. I had a few things on my mind and a number of dead bees outside of my bee hive were causing me a little consternation.
In Yarmouth I met up with four other adventurers and we made our way up to Harpswell and easily found the parking area for the Harpswell Cliff Trail. We met up with two other LAC members and we were off. We followed a well-blazed trail and boy was it a gorgeous walk. The sun was out and there was no need for me to take out the down vest I had stuffed in my pack.
We walked in the woods and high above the water – there were numerous and varied views. I highly recommend this walk (and dogs are allowed although I hadn’t brought mine).

After our walk, with our stomachs growling, we skipped the Bowdoin Art Museum and headed straight to Catherine’s house for a delicious meal of tomato basil soup, Spanish tortilla, yummy Standard bread and prosecco (oh, joy!). And maybe a thimble full of Wiggly Bridge whiskey.
Once again, my mind was cleared and I was full of good conversation, fresh air and sated by our adventure.
Happy adventuring,
